Tohtori Alpo Rusi on kutsuttu Harvardin yliopiston alaisen Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies -tutkimuslaitoksen asiantuntijaksi. Rusin tehtävänä on arvioida etenkin entistä Neuvostoliittoa koskevia julkaisuja The Journal of Cold War Studies -aikakauskirjaan. Julkaisussa on tarkoitus tuoda esille arvioita myös Rusin omasta tuotannosta.
